Ridley Scott Alien prequel features this new cover Empire magazine.
art-director Martin Barry tells me:
"This is a world exclusive first look at the new Ridley Scott Alien prequel 'Prometheus'.
Here the print version of the cover. Which uses a process called Metallic Micro Motion. This is a combination of textured and micro embossed
foil, using silver holographic foil as the base.
Then overprinting with UV inks to acheive the holo/print/foil effect. To have achieved this effect prior to this new method would have meant a
3 pass job (mirri or foil solid panel, then printed, then textured/embossed), this combined 2 processes into 1.
This effect is brand new to Consumer Magazines and gives an amazing effect of 'movement' on the newstand."
