I was appalled by the lack of sensitivity about a chronic illness as serious as mental illness. It is because of questions or statements like your leading question that foster stigma. A family member has coped successfully with a mental illness for twenty years, but it took five years to seek help because of the stigma society places upon these chemical brain disorders. I would hope that your magazine could assist to remedy this situation and present good articles about brain disorders, success stories, and struggles within our country to obtain quality health care for these illnesses.
Please do not trivialize these illnesses and use slang terms.
